Address Confidentiality Program

The Colorado Address Confidentiality Program is a statewide service that provides a legal substitute address and mail forwarding services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking/harassment, as well as protected healthcare workers. This is a no-cost resource that can help improve a survivor’s safety plan. Visit the Enrollment Page to find out about eligibility and the application process.

The ARC Pikes Peak Region

The Arc Pikes Peak Region is a civil rights organization that provides advocacy at the state, legislative, and local levels for people with disabilities and their loved ones. We provide educational, adult, and judicial advocacy and serve people at all stages of life. Our services also empower parents and caregivers, and we provide inclusive social programming for individuals with varying abilities and their loved ones. Through workshops, social events, and advocacy, we promote connection, growth, and inclusion. Additionally, we offer expert guidance on guardianship and supported decision-making. Our programs and supports are provided free of charge to the community.

Brothers Redevelopment, INC

Brothers Redevelopment is a nonprofit that provides housing and a variety of housing-related services for the region’s low-income, elderly and disabled residents. Through the organization’s free housing helpline, Colorado Housing Connects, people can gain access to support around eviction and foreclosure prevention, affordable housing, tenant-landlord issues, homebuying, home repair, and additional resources to for all other kinds of housing questions.

CASA

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region screens, trains, and supports qualified volunteers in advocating for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and/or domestic violence through a variety of programs and services.  The Supervised Exchange & Parenting Time (SEPT) Program provides a safe and monitored environment where children can develop and maintain relationships with non-custodial parents. CASA’s Level 1 Parenting Class is required for all divorcing parents and allocation of parental responsibility cases in El Paso and Teller Counties where children under the age of 18 are involved.

Center on Fathering

The mission of the Center on Fathering is to strengthen, encourage and support fathers to be actively and positively involved in the care and development of their children. The Center has information and services for all fathers, regardless of their situation. The Center also encourages mothers and daughters, who might have questions about fathering, to utilize the Center on Fathering. Anyone in the community that would like to learn more about the benefits for father involvement and the gifts men give to their children is welcome to contact the Center on Fathering. The Center on Father is located at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, 3rd Floor, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.  

Child Support Services

CSS: The Child Support Services Unit establishes paternity and child support orders, modifies child support orders, and enforces child support orders (and spousal maintenance orders when owed with a child support order).  In addition, the CSS Unit has the Parent Opportunity Program (POP) which assists parents who owe child support in finding employment and overcoming barriers to the payment of support. Located at:  1675 W. FSR: The Family Support Registry is Colorado’s state disbursement unit for child support and/or spousal maintenance payments.  The FSR receives, records and disburses support payments (for enforcement of support orders, see the CSS Unit information above).  Please see the FSR website for payment options:  https://childsupport.state.co.us/family-support-registry.   (800) 374-6558. 

Colorado Legal Services

Colorado Legal Services is a nonprofit statewide law firm. Our mission is to provide meaningful access to high quality civil legal services in the pursuit of justice for as many low-income persons and members of vulnerable populations throughout Colorado as possible. There is no cost for our services. CLS aims to provide meaningful access to basic necessities such as housing, freedom from violence, and access to public benefits including healthcare.  CLS provides advice, brief services, and full representation the following areas: Civil protection orders based on domestic violence or elder abuse, Allocation of parental responsibilities actions (custody), Dissolution of marriage actions (divorce), Forcible entry and detainer actions (eviction), Debt collection defense, Basic estate planning, Appeal of denial of public benefits and overpayments, Tax law, Special education law, Foreclosure defense, Obtaining a state ID. DOVE

Supporting Colorado Deaf survivors' healing journeys.

DOVE provides direct services to Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) and CODA victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence, as well as other forms of abuse state-wide in Colorado.

  • 24- hour crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referral. 

  • Youth advocacy and prevention

  • Resiliency services - long- term healing workshops and retreats for DDBDDHH victims and survivors 

  • Community education and outreach, training and technical assistance for our community partners and DDBDDHH community members

El Paso County Bar Association

The EPCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) is designed to match you with a qualified, full-rate attorney and additional resources for your situation. LRIS attorneys charge up to $100 for their initial consultations and standard rates/fees upon retention. An online request form can be found at www.epcbalawyers.org

Haseya Advocate Program

Haseya’s vision is that every Indigenous woman will be treated with respect, honored as a sacred being, and live a safe and peaceful life. Haseya provides advocacy for Native survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in El Paso County. All services are free and confidential. We provide safety planning, assistance with protection orders, women's groups, cultural events, intensive one on one support, referrals, financial empowerment classes, limited housing assistance, transportation, court accompaniment, parenting classes, men’s programs, and wellbriety support.

The Independence Center

The Independence Center is the local home of civil rights for people with disabilities. Working with individuals, their families, and the community, we create independence so that all may thrive. We are not an assisted living center; instead, our organization provides information, resources, and support to help people with disabilities live, learn, work, play, and participate in civic life as equals.  Our services and programs are available to anyone in our service area who self-identifies as having a disability. This includes those with a cognitive, physical, or mental health disability, who have blindness or low vision, or who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Deaf Blind. Together, we are working to redefine disability to focus on the unique abilities of our communities, so all are Known, Valued, and Included.

Pikes Peak Library District

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is a nationally recognized system of public libraries serving a population of more than 650,185 in El Paso County, Colorado. With fifteen facilities, online resources, and mobile library service, PPLD responds to the unique needs of individual neighborhoods and the community at large. Our mission is to provide resources and opportunities that impact individual lives and build community. We strive to reach all members of the community, providing free and equitable access to information and an avenue for personal and community enrichment.

Purple Mountain Recovery

Purple Mountain Recovery is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in July 2022 with the aim of providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community who are recovering from mental health and addiction issues. 

We are members of the LGBTQIA2+ community and allies with lived experience in mental health and substance use disorder. We know how difficult it can be to access resources and receive the level of support needed to heal because we have faced many of these same challenges. We believe everyone deserves equal access to these resources and support. We aim to ease the stigmas that surround addiction, harm reduction, mental health, and recovery in our community and beyond.  

The Resource Exchange

It is our honor and privilege to serve approximately 13,000 infants, children, teenagers, adults, and seniors in El Paso, Pueblo, Teller, and Park counties. Advocating for independence and inclusion, TRE partners with children and adults who have a variety of disabilities, delays, mental health or long-term care needs. We do this using a person-centered approach in coordinating care, promoting choices, and collaborating with community partners. TRE has relationships with over 200 community partners to which we refer our families. Our partners join with TRE to increase opportunities for the people we serve.

TESSA

TESSA’s mission is to help individuals and their children achieve safety and wellbeing while challenging communities to end sexual and family violence. TESSA’s services include a Safeline (719)-785-6813, Safehouse Program, Confidential Victim Advocates within: Main Office, Courthouse, Memorial Main, Rural (Teller and Eastern El Paso County), Counseling for adults and children- both individual and group options available, housing assistance program, Legal Services for Military, Higher Ed (Title IX), Family Law and Protection Orders.  

Westside Cares

Westside CARES provides care and compassion to our neighbors in need. Serving the west side of El Paso County (west of I-25), Westside CARES offers: food, rent and utilities assistance, mail delivery services, some identification services, health care, and housing navigation. The Justice Center

The Justice Center has been working in the Pikes Peak region to increase and promote equal access to justice since 2011. They do this through three programs: Find-a-Lawyer providing free and reduced cost legal representation in the 4th Judicial District, Ask-a-Lawyer running free legal clinics about Colorado law through the phone, over email and in person, and Learn-with-Lawyers offering free legal educational tools to attorneys, their support staff, and the general public.
